This dramatically reduces your upfront costs because you only need a loan for the value of the house. Land Rent is calculated at 2% of the “unimproved” value of your land (the value of the land before construction).

The benefit of Land Rent is that you can start renting your land under the Land Rent Scheme, and obtain a mortgage to purchase the land component at any stage.
