📋 Eligibility for CHC Affordable Housing

To apply, applicants must meet CHC’s Affordable Housing eligibility criteria. These requirements ensure access for households most in need.

1. Residency Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must have lived in the ACT for at least six (6) months

2. Homeownership Requirements

• Applicants must not own or part own a residential property in Australia

3. Income Requirements

Your combined gross household income (past 52 weeks) must fall within CHC’s income ranges.

Examples:

Single, no children        $57,600        $86,400

Couple, no children       $86,400        $129,600

Single + 2 children        $93,200         $138,200

Couple + 1 child             $103,700      $155,500

Couple + 3 children       $138,300      $207,300

4. 🏘️ Housing Allocation Guidelines

CHC allocates properties based on household size and composition. For example:

• Single with no children → typically 1 bedroom
• Couple with one child → 2 bedrooms
• Larger families → 3 or 4 bedrooms
